Julie Casper Roth is an Emmy-nominated, award-winning filmmaker, writer, and educator. Her work has been screened in festivals nationally and internationally. She's a two-time Sundance Screenwriters Lab finalist, the recipient of a NYSCA Individual Artist award, and a NYFA Fellowship winner. Casper Roth is the author of the upcoming Taylor & Francis/Routledge book The Fundamentals of Documentary. In addition to independent film work, Casper Roth was a director/producer for WMHT-PBS, and a Telly-award winning producer/director for the State of New York. She has taught in the documentary programs at Skidmore College and the University at Albany and currently teaches media production at CT State-Norwalk. Casper Roth is a cum laude graduate of Smith College and holds an MFA from the University at Albany.
